With nearly 15 years of experience, Huma Anwar is an award-winning literary translator, editor, and founder of Samar Kitab. Known for her thoughtful and culturally attuned translations, she has brought celebrated works by authors such as Orhan Pamuk, Elif Shafak, and Yann Martel into the Urdu literary world.

Huma’s work is rooted in integrity, linguistic depth, and reverence for both source and target cultures. She has received prestigious accolades, including:
