Abdul Karim Samar was primarily a poet in the tradition of Allama Iqbal and Maulana Rumi. Although he became renowned for his na‘at poetry (verses in praise of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), his work is distinctly imbued with Islamic themes. His poetry reflects a spirit of hope and the elevation of humanity. His deeply researched works document the literary, linguistic, and spiritual heritage of South Asia.
